Milan Hosts Scientology Volunteer Ministers’ Yellow Tent for Community Support

Wiki Article

MILAN, Italy — 22 January 2026 — Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic yellow tent to Milan, offering a street-level point for practical help and one-to-one guidance, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to daily problems. More details are available here: Scientology Europe report.

Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents meet trained volunteers directly and learn simple steps for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as support after personal emergencies.

Volunteer Ministers are community volunteers trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, study and learning methods, interpersonal relations and problem-solving. The approach is personal and practical: identify the issue and offer a step that can be used immediately.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during major emergencies including L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia-Romagna (2012), and have also assisted during recent floods in Marche (2022) and Romagna (2023), working with local services and civil-protection partners to help remove mud and debris and restore access.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with neighbourhood support, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Across Europe, communities grow stronger when citizens are equipped to help each other in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice. Their work reflects a civic principle: support starts with listening and providing tools that help people regain the ability to act and contribute.”
